The Pickwick is an historic boutique hotel located three blocks from Union Square and two blocks from the Moscone Center. Daniel Hammett features the Pickwick Hotel (built in 1926) in the classic mystery novel "The Maltese Falcon". The hotel was constructed in the Neo-Gothic style. The renovated rooms have French provincial decor in warm gold, red and cream tones with elegant drapes. Each room includes a desk, armoire, and overstuffed chair and ottoman. Some of the hotel's rooms feature a downtown city view, and all guest rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff is courteous and helpful, available to guests for any need that may arise. With quiet, quaint elegance, the hotel is a wonderful option for any traveler and will surely be a place to build memories. The hotel is minutes to fine dining, shopping and entertainment. NOTE: It is MANDATORY to have a credit card upon check-in for incidentals or the reservation will NOT be honored.
